Author Guidelines

Authors who wish to submit manuscripts to Jurnal Ilmu Terapan: International Multidisciplinary Journal (JITIMJ) are required to follow the guidelines below to ensure an efficient editorial and peer-review process.

  1. Manuscript Scope
    • Manuscripts must be relevant to the journal's focus and scope.
    • The journal accepts Original Research Articles, Review Articles, and Case Studies.
  2. Language
    • Manuscripts must be written in English using clear, concise, and academically appropriate language.
  3. Originality
    • Submitted manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration by another journal.
    • Authors are responsible for ensuring the originality of their work and properly acknowledging all sources.
  4. Manuscript Format
    • Manuscripts should be between 5,000–8,000 words, including references.
    • Manuscripts must be prepared using the journal's official template.
    • The manuscript should be organized as follows:
      • Title
      • Abstract (150–250 words)
      • Keywords (3–5 keywords)
      • Introduction
      • Methods
      • Results and Discussion
      • Conclusion
      • Acknowledgements (if applicable)
      • References
  5. References
    • References must follow the APA 7th Edition citation style.
    • Authors are encouraged to use recent and relevant references, with the majority published within the last 10 years.
    • A minimum of 20 references is recommended, primarily from peer-reviewed scholarly journals.
  6. Ethical Considerations
    • Authors must comply with the journal's Publication Ethics.
    • Any conflicts of interest, funding sources, and ethical approvals (where applicable) must be clearly disclosed in the manuscript.
  7. Plagiarism Screening
    • All manuscripts are screened using plagiarism detection software before peer review.
    • The maximum allowable similarity index is 25%, with no more than 5% similarity from a single source.
  8. Peer Review Process
    • All manuscripts that pass the initial editorial screening undergo a double-blind peer-review process conducted by at least two independent reviewers.
    • Authors are expected to revise their manuscripts in response to reviewers' comments within the specified revision period.
  9. Submission
    • Manuscripts must be submitted through the journal's online submission system.
    • Authors should ensure that all required metadata and supporting documents are completed before submission.
  10. Author Fees
  • An Article Processing Charge (APC) of IDR 250,000 is applied only to manuscripts accepted for publication.
  • There are no submission fees or peer-review fees. The APC covers editorial processing, production, and publication services.
