Peer Reviewer Process

All manuscripts submitted to Jurnal Ilmu Terapan: International Multidisciplinary Journal (JITIMJ) undergo a rigorous peer-review process to ensure the quality, originality, and scientific integrity of published articles.

  1. Initial Editorial Screening
The Editorial Board evaluates each submitted manuscript to determine its relevance to the journal's focus and scope, compliance with the author guidelines, originality, and overall academic quality. Manuscripts that do not meet these requirements may be rejected before entering the peer-review stage.
  2. Double-Blind Peer Review
Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are evaluated through a double-blind peer-review process, in which the identities of both authors and reviewers remain anonymous. Each manuscript is reviewed by at least two independent reviewers with expertise in the relevant field.
  3. Review Criteria
Reviewers assess manuscripts based on the following criteria:
    • Relevance to the journal's focus and scope.
    • Originality and contribution to scientific knowledge.
    • Methodological rigor and validity.
    • Quality of analysis and discussion.
    • Clarity, organization, and academic writing.
    • Appropriateness and accuracy of references.
    • Compliance with research and publication ethics.
  4. Editorial Decision
Based on the reviewers' recommendations, the Editor may make one of the following decisions:
    • Accept without revision.
    • Accept with minor revisions.
    • Request major revisions and resubmission.
    • Reject the manuscript.
  5. Revision Process
Authors are required to revise their manuscripts in accordance with the reviewers' comments and submit the revised version within the specified deadline. Revised manuscripts may be sent back to the original reviewers for further evaluation when necessary.
  6. Final Decision
The Editor-in-Chief has the final authority to accept or reject a manuscript for publication based on the reviewers' recommendations, the quality of the revised manuscript, and the journal's editorial standards.

Throughout the review process, editors and reviewers are expected to maintain confidentiality, impartiality, objectivity, and professional integrity while avoiding any conflicts of interest.
